Enviable reliability record
One thing is absolutely essential in any busy office—a
copier that works. When the copier breaks down, so does
the flow of information for everyone concerned. Walk up
to the Océ 3045 with confidence. In independent testing,
the Océ 3045 met and surpassed industry benchmarks for
reliability and uptime.
Simple operation
Walk-up copiers must be designed for use by a wide
variety of people, of varying levels of skill. If user
panels are not absolutely clear and simple, the result
is wasted time and materials. For simple jobs, just
select the desired number of copies and push the print
button. For more complicated jobs, the copier tells you
what to do: step by step, in plain English.
Paper jams have virtually disappeared
When you use a walk-up copier you should not have to
frequently stop and clear paper jams. What's more, jams
in the middle of copy runs waste paper, toner and time.
Océ's Copy Press System brings the image to the paper,
and not the other way around. Resulting in one of the
shortest paper paths in the industry—so short that jams
almost never occur.
Fewer paper refills
People who walk up to a copier should plan on making
copies—not waste time on filling and refilling
low-capacity paper compartments for the next user. The
Océ 3045 features extra-large paper compartments which
normally require only occasional refilling. For the
ultimate in convenience, four paper compartments are
provided plus a bypass for special copy material.
Put an end to replenishing toner
If the capacity of a copier's toner reservoir is not
sufficient, the result—all too often—is user
intervention, wasted time and toner mess. The toner
reservoir is refilled by our service technician at
normal service visits. So, in most cases, you can forget
about having to do it yourself. The reservoir is so
large that it can hold enough toner for at least 100,000
copies!
Full finished documents
The time-saving benefits of walk-up copying can be lost
when you have to manually sort and finish documents
after copying. When required, copies are automatically
sorted into sets and stapled online. That eliminates
time-consuming manual sorting. You can make really
professional-looking reports by choosing paper of a
different colour, size or weight. Unlike other copiers
the Océ 3045 can handle paper up to170 gsm for section
dividers, covers or appendices.
Consistently high-quality copies
People who use walk-up copiers should not be confronted
with slowly deteriorating copy quality. The unique Océ
Copy Press image-transfer system actually presses the
image onto the paper—just like offset printing. It
offers something most other copiers can't: thousands and
thousands of consistently high-quality copies between
service visits.
Priority-copy function saves valuable time
Sometimes you will need to run longer, larger jobs on
the copier. That's OK as long as the machine has a
workable priority copy function to avoid queues and long
waiting times. The priority-copy function lets you
interrupt larger jobs to make a quick copy, with full
job recovery. Interruption is made at the most
convenient moment, with the copier automatically
resuming its original task once the copy is made.
Environmentally responsible copying
A walk-up copier should be a pleasant working partner,
with no excessive power consumption or noise, light and
ozone emissions. The Océ 3045 meets all the Energy Star
criteria. This is your independent guarantee of clean,
safe copying.
Fast, reliable double-sided copying
Double-sided copying offers considerable benefits in
paper and space saving. But, with most copiers, it is
too difficult, too slow and too unreliable. Océ markets
the only copier in this class with fully automatic,
one-pass duplexing. It makes double-sided copying just
as easy and reliable as single-sided. No auxiliary
duplex tray: no hassle!
Simple, single button operation
Many ordinary copiers require adjustments and settings
to be made for different originals. That is not what you
want from a walk-up copier. Drop your A4 originals into
the automatic feeder with total confidence. The flat
feed system takes the originals one by one, using a
superior air separation system which is normally found
on much larger copiers.
Robust construction
Walk-up copiers must cope with the rigours of day-in,
day-out use. Any weak elements in machine design, such
as flimsily constructed flaps, covers, sorters or other
accessories, will have a low chance of survival. The Océ
3045 is a tough, industrial-strength copier designed
specifically for walk-up applications. It can handle the
rigours of life in busy offices and public areas because
it's built to easily last two or three times as long as
industry standards demand
